A lieutenant with the Melbourne Fire Department for over 18 years. Ken has been a resident for over 20 years and the Financial Record Administrator for the Zachary Project.

A firefighter/paramedic with the Melbourne Fire Department and coordinator of the Poker Run. He has been involved for the last 10 years with local youth and high school soccer programs. Involved in various community education programs including C.E.R.T.(Citizen emergency response training) and Melbourne Fire Department Juvenile Fire Setter Program. Eric's son Sean was diagnosed with T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Sean recently lost his 2 year battle and will be missed by all.

Glen has been with the Melbourne Fire Department for over 20 years and is currently a Lieutenant at Station 72.

A lifetime resident of Brevard county, Tom has been a firefighter with the Melbourne Fire Department for 21 years. For the last 10 years, he has organized the Melbourne Fire Department's annual MDA golf tournament.

Terry has been a firefighter since 1996 and has been employed with the Melbourne Fire Department since 2003. He is also a reservist with the U.S. Air Force at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa. Terry is the proud father of two (Charlotte & Jackson) and has been married to his beautiful wife Tiffany since 2002. Terry holds a B.S. in Fire and Emergency Services from The University of Florida and has become the driving force behind the Zachary Project.

Jerry Smith

Jerry has been a Firefighter/Paramedic with Brevard County Fire Rescue since 1992. He has been instrumental in our concert fundraisers and was 2007 Volunteer of the Year! He is married to Sandy and has to boys.

Gaius Hall

Gaius has been a Firefighter with Palm Bay Fire Rescue since 2000. Gaius owns his own Cross-Fit Gym and is a proponent of children’s health and fitness.

Chief Apel has been with the Melbourne Fire Department for 27 years. He has four children one of which was adopted and is special needs. After he adopted his daughter, his family was blessed again 4 years later with the birth of Zachary. He has been married to his lovely wife Nannette for 18 years, and a resident of Florida for 34 years. He is currently seeking his Bachelors Degree.
